This is a Deacon Alert to inform you of the passing of your classmate, Daniel "Dan" L. Beaton ('65) on Sunday, April 20th.

Obituary:

Dan Lucian Beaton, 77, died Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Essentia Hospital after a brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends throughout.

After a career working for BNSF, Dan was a proud member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees. He read voraciously, followed baseball religiously, doted on his dog, cherished his friends, enjoyed a good meal with loved ones, and even made time to cast a line or two.

Dan is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine.

Dan is survived by his children, Dana, Willie, Dan J, Saima, David, and Lydia as well as grandchildren Evangeline, Kathryn, Eddie, Ozzie, Vladi, Brianna, Brooklyn, Briley, Charlie, Daniel, Alma, Danny, JD; great-grandchildren, Shai, Lyanna, Deandre, and Zayden; sister, Kate; nephews, Aaron, Karsten; and niece, Annika.

Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 PM followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. A funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the Mass.
