Dennis Duane Miller was born November 14, 1944 in Fargo, ND to Sylvester and Frances (Quiggle) Miller and raised in Fargo. He graduated from Shanley High School. Denny started at Union Storage and Transfer the day after graduation in 1962. He went on a blind date on December 1st, 1962. Denny ended up falling for his cousin’s date and on December 7th, 1962 he went on an official date with Sharon Johnson. On April 4, 1964, they were united in marriage. Denny continued to work at Union Storage until 1979 when he studied and took the U.S. Postal test. He worked at the U.S.P.S. from 1979-2013.
Denny loved bowling and was on numerous leagues. He enjoyed watching Vikings and Bison football, golf and basketball. He loved baking, cooking, reading, playing cards and games. Denny and Sharon continued that passion as volunteers for the Fargo Film Festival. They enjoyed traveling and visited Hawaii multiple times, the Scandinavian capitals and many parts of the U.S. and Canada.
Denny enjoyed life and never took what he had for granted. He was kind, generous, spiritual and very funny. He loved with a huge heart and everyone who knew him felt that. Their house was always warm, inviting and available. Denny always let you know you were seen.
