This is a Deacon Alert to inform you of the passing of Florence "Flossy" Fischer on Thursday, March 27th.
Flossy was the mother of Cynthia (Fischer) Govert ('73), Jon Fischer, Thomas Fischer, Nancy (Fischer) Dodd ('79), Paul Fischer, and the late Bruce Fischer ('74) and David Fischer.
 
Obituary:

Florence Marie “Flossy” Fischer, 92, of rural Evansville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Heart to Heart Hospice House.
Flossy was born on July 18, 1932, in Park River, North Dakota to the late Gordon and Thelma (Hendrickson) Bruce. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Flossy was a wonderful cook and took great pride and joy in planning and cooking for family gatherings. She worked as an insurance claims adjuster for Jesse Stock Insurance and was a devoted member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Flossy’s faith was very important to her and she prayed daily. She enjoyed scrap booking; was a sports fan and enjoyed attending baseball games with her family and watching golf on television with her son-in-law, Greg.
Surviving Flossy are two daughters and their husbands, Cynthia and Greg Govert and Nancy and Aaron Dodd; three sons, Jon Fischer, Thomas Fischer and Paul Fischer; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, John C. “Jack” Fischer in 2019; by two sons, Bruce and David Fischer; a sister, Mary Jane Frederick; brothers, Glen, Norman, and Keith Bruce and by two grandsons, Keith Govert and Nathan Olsby.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Rev. Jason Gries officiating. Burial will take place in Roundup City Cemetery in Roundup, Montana.
Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 PM until service time on Wednesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Road, Evansville, IN 47710.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
